Personal data
The personal data that we process is obtained from you, for example, the data you provide to us via our website, email, phone, or app. Additionally, in some cases, we may receive data for our services from a third party.
We process various categories of personal data, for different purposes. Which data we process depends on the reason for our contact.
General contact
When you send us an email, call us, or send a message via the contact form on this website, we process at most the following personal data:
- Email address and/or phone number
- Name
- Company or venue name
- The subject you selected and the content of your message
We do this to handle your question, comment, or complaint as well as possible. The contact form on this website is processed through Google Apps Script, part of Google Workspace; the data you enter is delivered to us by email.
Booking an appointment
On the contact page you can book an appointment through an embedded Google Calendar appointment schedule. The data you enter there (such as your name and email address) is processed by Google and reaches us in the form of an appointment confirmation in our calendar. Google's own privacy policy applies to the booking widget.
Newsletter subscription
When you sign up for the newsletter, we process at most the following personal data:
- Email address and/or phone number
- Name
We use this data to send you the newsletter and to address you by the correct name.
Website visit
When you visit our website (as is probably the case now), we process at most the following personal data:
- IP address
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including the IP address, the time of the visit and the browser type. This data is not used to track visitors; it serves solely the security and proper functioning of the website. In addition, this website loads its fonts through Adobe Fonts, in the course of which your IP address is passed to Adobe.
Applying for a job or internship
When you want to work or intern with us, we process at most the following personal data:
- Email address and/or phone number
- Name
- Address
- Place of residence
- Curriculum Vitae
- Photo*
We process this data to make a good assessment of whether you are suitable for the position or assignment you are applying for and to keep in contact about the application process. *A photo is nice to receive, but it is absolutely not mandatory.
Legal basis for processing
Of course, we do not process all this data without reason. Our processing has various bases:
Legal obligation
We are legally obliged to process some personal data. For example, the obligation to keep financial records.
Legitimate interest
For our customer service and handling requests or questions, there is a legitimate interest in processing personal data. The same applies to application processes and to the security and proper functioning of our website.
Consent
When we process your data based on consent, we will ask for it separately for each processing, such as for the newsletter.
Cookies
This website does not use analytics software and does not place tracking or advertising cookies. For that reason, no cookie banner is required.
Two embedded services from third parties are used on this website:
- Google Calendar — the appointment widget on the contact page is loaded from Google and may place functional cookies of its own when you use it;
- Adobe Fonts — the fonts on this website are loaded from Adobe's servers, which involves the processing of your IP address.
Disclosure to third parties
The data you provide to us is not easily passed on to others. However, in certain cases, we may exchange data with third parties. Jora Vision LBE BV may use services from others for the aforementioned purposes, such as the IT suppliers of our website and our systems — including our hosting provider, Google (Workspace, Apps Script and Calendar) and Adobe (Adobe Fonts). These may only process your data for the aforementioned purposes.
It is also possible that we provide your personal data when we must comply with a legal obligation. We will never give your data to someone else for commercial purposes unless you have explicitly agreed to this.
Transfer outside the EEA
The EEA is the European Economic Area. In addition to the EU countries, this concerns Liechtenstein, Norway, and Iceland. Your personal data may be processed outside this area, particularly in the United States of America. We have entered into agreements with the parties processing your data there, ensuring they comply with legislation in the Netherlands.
Additionally, your data may be stored by third parties outside the EU, such as Google, Adobe, LinkedIn, or Instagram. For such transfers we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so these parties adhere to European privacy regulations.
Data retention
We will not keep your data longer than necessary for the purposes mentioned earlier in this statement. Certain data may be kept longer because we must comply to a legal retention obligation, such as the fiscal retention obligation. For example, we will keep certain data from financial deals for 7 years. Most data is kept for 5 years. Other data is generally not kept longer than a year.
Data security
Jora Vision LBE BV has secured your data against loss or unauthorized access in multiple ways. We use strict security procedures, among other things, to prevent unauthorized access to personal data. For security reasons we cannot disclose the exact procedures we use.
Online, we use secured connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) to shield all information between you and our website when you register or use our services through our website.
Your rights
You always have the right to request access to your personal data. Upon receiving your request, you will receive an overview of the personal data we have about you within 1 month. You can always request to have your data adjusted, supplemented, deleted, anonymized, or shielded. You can also withdraw consent you have previously given us.
You can also request the transfer of your data to you or object to the processing due to special personal circumstances.
If you have a complaint about how we process data, please let us know. If we cannot resolve it together, you have the right to file a complaint with the privacy supervisor, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Adjustment
It is possible that Jora Vision LBE BV will adjust this statement. New versions are always published on our website. Therefore, we recommend that you regularly consult this statement to stay informed of changes.
